Menu Design
This is a menu redesign I worked on for DC Street Food. The client already had a brand design and logo, but they wanted me to update it and add some more interesting elements to it.
Fun fact, this was actually my first ever professional design project, so I've come a long way since then. With this project, I learned how to work with a client and how to get their vision across properly.
If I were to have the opportunity to work on a similar project now, I would be able to implement everything I've learned since I made this back in 2024.
On another note, I made this for a food truck that sells burgers, wings, and other food of the sort, and after I made this menu for them...
...they said I could have some wings and fries for free aside from the actual payment I got for it. So that's awesome.
Client was a delight to work with, describing his vision perfectly and answering all my questions, so when I had to actually make the menu itself I didn't have many issues with the brand's visual identity.
Their wedge fries were insanely good. Definitely recommend.
Crumbs Magazine Brand
Sometime near the middle of my graphic design and animation career, I had to work on a magazine talking about any topic I wanted.
Before making the zine itself, though, we had to design a brand for it. And with the brand came a design manual.

Lastly for my editorial page, one of my proudest achievements both as a graphic designer and as an illustrator: my Crumbs zine. This project took months to make and each second was painful but so, so worth it.
With a whopping 36 pages and over 20 original illustrations, some simple and some heavily detailed, this zine features 6 different sections with around 7 characters and all sorts of info about them.
Some of my character themes explore neurodivergence, more specifically ADHD and autism, mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and self harm, queer identities, both gender and sexuality, and the importance of all kinds of relationships.
There isn't anything explicit or truly inappropriate in the zine, but the general themes are worth mentioning out of sheer awareness for the topics themselves. I explored all of them because I believe some are things that need to be shown and explored more often so they can be normalized.
Some of these characters age back as far as 2018 or earlier, so I could say they kind of grew up alongside me. They helped me understand myself as I went from child to teenager, and now teenager to adult.
Writing and creating will always be a great way of expressing oneself and processing the world around us, so if you don't have a story of your own, I greatly recommend entertaining the idea of making one up.
